Hawai’i AcroFest is bringing opportunities and experiences to New students, Seasoned Yogis, and Teachers alike on the islands of Hawai'i.

The Festivals features a variety of all level workshops taught by island resident teachers, mainland teachers, and also abroad talents. Art, Music, Acro, and Community are woven together with this unique event offering.

There is a wealth of acro knowledge that many island residents have limited access to— Hawai'i AcroFest seeks to bridge this gap by creating a larger platform to bring more teachers to us!

Our Story

Hawai'i Acrofest came to be by lots of hard work, committed dedication, and also a few butt tons of sheer grace supplied by the universe. The Idea came to Catherine Ritter (Critter) in 2019 after her Acro Yoga Teacher Training with AcroRevoultion in Portland. Living on the Islands for 6 years at the time, she found herself traveling often to scratch her itch for acro knowledge. Hawai'i did not have its own large yearly event. What better reasons for acrobats around the world and across the islands to get together and play!? Thus Hawai'i AcroFest is born!

Critter started making plans and connecting the dots and anticipated a 2020 launch! As we know, the world had other plans....so this gave her time to keep baking the ideas and working out the interisland logistics. Critter held it down over the next two years and got deeeep in the sauce. Many days, nights, and thousands of hours were poured into the planning and production. While Hi.AF has the most awesome Production/Execution Team full of some major bad asses, about 80-90% of back end logistics were handled by her. Some say her google drive goes on into infinity. lol. As a Young Woman in her 20's, standing at a whopping 5' 2", and a first time Indie Festival Producer, Hawai'i AcroFest was no small feat for her small feet.

The First Event was a Spectacular Success. Sweet memories to last a lifetime.\

The Second, event sweeter- with a pool party so epic I think we'll all be telling our grandkids about it.

What's the saying?? Third time's the charm? 😉

Hawai'i AcroFest hopes to continue filling this niche in the event community as a Yearly or Bi-yearly festival. It is truly such an honor to be able to bring this creation to life in collaboration with some shining stars in our community. We want to create a rainbow bridge to connect the various communities on all the different islands and bring some next level teachers and talent to elevate our island community members acro skills!
